THANKSGIVING

People ask my what is it about insurance that I find rewarding in comparison to being at the hub of the creative process in the film industry. I make sure that I protect all my clients so if they have the unfortunate circumstance where they have to file a claim, they will get treated well by our claims adjustors and paid accordingly. As many of you know, I prefer you to have my cell phone so you can call or text me in an emergency whether that is from the site of an auto accident before you say anything to the other driver, or at 7am on a Sunday when you open your front door to find your house filled with water. Last night I had finally arrived in San Diego to my parents house. It took me over 2 hours to drive from LA to SD and then I had to make an emergency run to Julian (another hour) to deliver cooking supplies to our vacation renters. I had finally sat down to relax when I received a call on my cell phone from one of my clients saying he had come home from picking up his family at the airport and found his house on fire. Having being told twice that my Julian home had burned to the ground and was a total loss just months after I bought it, it always pains me to see any of my clients suffer a loss--fire, theft, water damage. After listening to the circumstances surrounding the event, I was able to call claims and conference him in to take the report.
